We know from experience that it is essential to plan, communicate and implement restructuring programmes carefully. If these matters are not taken into account there can be serious consequences including conflict within the organisation, higher costs and the whole project could be undermined.
Plans have to be thorough, those responsible for implementing the changes must be prepared for this difficult task, all those involved must be kept informed and all aspects must be documented in full.
