Developing Prospects for Long-term Sickness

Employers are obliged to carry out a re-integration scheme when an employee has been off sick for more than six weeks within the space of a year (§84 paragraph 2 SGB IX). This will enable the staff member to keep his job.

It is not always possible to reach agreement internally despite the best intentions and efforts of those involved. Quite often the employee is unable to cope with the situation and an impasse is reached. The way forward has to be found.

The B&H Group works independently and neutrally with the employer, all relevant parties and the employee. The objective is to find a solution taking convalescence, financial security, application for sickness/disability benefits and future work prospects (amongst others) into account.
